This year, the conference welcomes in particular work related to the following themes: History, Cultural Heritage, Games, and Future. The overarching theme this year is Open Science. In its 5th year, the conference will focus on interdisciplinary connections and methodological links between digital humanities and digital social sciences. Striving to acknowledge productive interconnections between the disciplines, DHN2020 aims to inspire a broad consideration of knowledge sharing and debates inspired by various forms and results of interdisciplinary cooperation. Digital Humanities in the Nordic Countries calls for papers for its 1st Nordic Conference and Constitutive Meeting (March 15-17 2016).

I am very happy to announce the foundation of the association for Digital Humanities in the Nordic Countries (DHN)!. On April 23, 2015, a group of people representing all Nordic countries (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland & Finland) met and after several hours of intense discussion and negotiation agreed on a preliminary version of the statutes and an interim council.
In 2019, the conference seeks to extend the scope of digital humanities research covered, both into new areas, as well as beyond the Nordic and Baltic countries.
